Package Bees
Our club brings package bees in for members each year to be distributed out to members of our club.
Pickup is the morning of Sunday, March 24th, 2024 at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Limit of 4 packages of bees per member based on the honor system.
Each package of bees includes:
$125
1 Italian mated queen bee in a cage
Roughly 10,000 worker bees equaling about 3 lbs of worker bees
A temporary sugar syrup can used for transporting the bees from their home apiary to your apiary
A screened box for keeping the bees inside during transport
Package bees are reserved for members of the club; if you are not a member, that’s no problem, just join and you can order packages.
